So if you can figure out what equation sounds reasonable you are then able to fire off a rocket and it will travel 300 million miles and to land on an object it just needs to speed up to that object's relative orbital velocity around the sun?

without atmosphere and shit tons of objects in your path...yeah it's not too hard to do the math especially when you have a decade to recheck it frequently.

So when airplane lands on earth - they just need to speed up to the orbital speed on the planet around the sun (which is 66, 600mph) minus the resistance of air and then as soon as it touches the ground it will come to a complete stop -
