Do you think that's how it works? - we just shoot things at objects and when the object is "close enough" its just sucked in by the gravity of the object even though its speed is from orbiting the sun.

Does Earth's gravity make Airplanes fly at 66,600 mph or in the helio retardation - is it the sun's gravity that makes the earth orbit at that speed? So explain to me the physics of how an asteroid comes crashing into Earth - at what point does the gravity of the Earth make its speed relative to the speed of the earth orbiting around the sun that the crash never happens and that asteroid can actually land on the Earth nice and pillowy soft.

u need an explanation as to why an object moving in certain direction eventually comes across another object in its path and crashes into it instead of landing on it?

what does that have to do with a man-made, controllable object landing on an asteroid? thats right, nothing.

its also possible to have a non man-made object orbit another non man-made object without crashing into it whilst still traveling at high speeds.

if we didnt have a moon and somehow intelligent life was still able to evolve to the point of having a little flatty_sultan in existence im sure he would have questioned pictures from Jupiter where planet-like objects orbit it.

he would surely be saying that theres no way this could ever happen.
