forgive me for saying so, but you're speaking from your ass... i understand you may have a strong opinion on the matter, but what are you saying is completely baseless. I agree there are things that the US could change in its budgets and spending that would better serve humanity as a whole, but you'd be astonished if you looked even slightly into the accomplishments and technologies created because of the research in these fields.

I do believe that if NASA has already found alien life they would have already opened their mouths. Think about it, if your a super nerd who explores the great beyond for life wouldn't YOU want to be remembered as the guy who found them? Yeah NSA might put a bullet in ur head for blabbing but the legacy you leave would greatly outweigh the insignificance of your life. Us discovering other intelligent life forms may be dangerous but nothing is ever safe, you waking up in the morning your taking risks.

Yeah i think in reality if an alien species did happen to come to earth and happened to see the stupidity of our species i doubt they would want to meet with us face to face lol.

Idk where people get this idea that hundreds of thousands of past and present employees are supernaturally loyal to keeping their mouths shut about it if it did happen. I mean not only would they get fame/fortune/historical legacy, but they would also be advancing our scientific research as a whole.

I can't think of anyone who would be willing to put all that aside for the sake of the currently temporary political regime in a country that is going down the crapper.

God I would love to see how the government would try and cover It up. I would make sure I mailed multiple copies of the same data to every single major news station and every science institution in the world. Not to mention the rouge news company VICE.

For what we know there might already be aliens traveling to our solar system to come take our resources. Even if they wanted us dead just to wipe us out all they would have to do is get an asteroid and hurl the damn thing at us

It's quite simple, every single "story" you hear about someone that has had a alien encounter, is nothing more than a "story". How would it be a fact, if the ppl who control public media and everything else, won't allow it?

Again, alot of stories are out there of ppl with proof and so on. Most of them have died (accidentaly, suspiciously). Rest have been claimed to be; liars, conspirators, psychos, etc.

The ppl in much higher positions in goverment, military, science, etc (again these are stories, duh) wouldn't dare going public because they know it's useless. So they stay silent, to keep their carreer ($$$, life).

if NASA sent out a press release about contacting alien life you couldn't cover it up and people would believe it. If the people with the resources and knowledge claimed something to be true in their field then it is believable end of story.
