How far forward or backward would we be able to time travel? Would we be trapped in time? What would happen if we saw our own self from the past or future, how would they (you) react?

I know through quantum mechanics that time travel is theoretically possible via wormholes, but i was wondering if we'll ever actually be able to achieve it. What are your thoughts on this? Also, do you think we'll ever be able to stabilize wormholes so they don't close on us?

The future isn't made yet. So it doesn't exist.
If time travel were possible, it would only be to move to the past or return to the future. (Present)

I hope we can do it in our life time without dire consequences lol. Everyone would want to travel forward or back though

as my time space diagram showed, to go back in time you need to move on a slope of greater than 1 on the graph. So you have to travel 1 light second in less than 1 second, aka, you must travel faster than the speed of light. A quick calculation shows that requires an infinite amount of energy, which is a problem.

michio kaku said it is already possible to travel to future. If it is possible to travel to the past, only under the condition it will create a new parallel universe.

If there are infinite universes with infinite possibilities (no evidence of this. What I'm about to say is speculation), then there exists a universe identical to ours at a certain point in either our past or future. For instance, the creation of their universe may have happened 60 years after ours. Therefore, when we travel to this exact same universe, we arrive in a place like our own 60 years ago.

The problem is finding a needle in an ocean...even traveling to another universe (if another one even exists) would be difficult. Nevermind finding one that's incredibly specific.
