only if you're religious.

Hi, thanks for posting!
Why do you believe that religion determines if a soul inhabits a host?
Do you feel that God determines the placement of souls?

First, define "soul".
Scientifically, the body is made up of atoms, and we do not have souls.

Souls would be spirits or our conscience?

If souls do not exist, couldn't we just say love doesn't exist...? What is "love", or "hate" or "happiness"...? It's all just made up... Yes I'm sure there is some explanation explaining that feeling that we call "happiness", but... That's not the happiness we think of when someone talks about it..

Or another one.. How does a "Mind" (Brain) work..? It's just made of some atoms, but somehow it is far beyond anything I can imagine..

There is so much shit I don't know (Maybe you guys know, and would care to enlighten me) but... From my knowledge, most of everything we know is made up <_<

Just something to think about..

Love and other emotions are a result of chemical reactions in the brain. You can directly view them on CT scans, and you can look at many different people's brain scans and their brains will all react in the same way when they experience love or hate or some other emotion (i.e. any two people experiencing love have the same pattern in their brain; two people experiencing hate experience the same pattern in their brain, etc).

Not fully understanding how something works is no reason to default to a supernatural reason.

Those are just chemicals though... Why are we one of the only, if not only, animals that have all these feeling?

If you've ever had a dog or a cat you know that they're capable of emotions. If domesticated dogs and cats are capable of feeling emotions, then it's not unreasonable to think other animals in the same families are also capable of feeling emotions (e.g. the lion that ran up to and hugged the guy that raised him). So it seems that the mammalian brain is capable of feeling emotions. Why, you ask, might mammals be the only animals to feel emotions? Emotions came about through the process of evolution. The later it developed, the less it would be spread through all of the animals on Earth because only species that descended from that first emotive species (i.e. that have that species as a common ancestor) would have those emotions.

I never said it was. The point is if you don't have a justified reason for believing something (e.g. evidence to support your claims) then you're believing something solely on faith, and people have used faith to justify incorrect beliefs since the dawn of mankind.
