quantum mechanics basically says that if you start with nothing , you will end up with something ( altho that something will average out to be nothing )
and altho its true that no1 was around to tell us if this was the particular case with our own universe ...... , well , we do know how much energy there is

if you have another hypothesis tho , feel free to share  :)

Quantum mechanics says that if you start with nothing, you might end up with something. You might not as well. You also might end up with something that spontaneously becomes nothing for no reason. You might end up with a whole bunch of something that spontaneously rearranges itself into a gigantic Reptar statue the instant after forming out of nothing. Events that happen with probability one don't always happen and events that happen with probability zero are not impossible. I don't like definitive statements about QM.

As to another untestable undisprovable hypothesis, this universe is four dimensions in a Hilbert space that rests on the back of a giant turtle. That turtle is supported by yet another turtle, each existing in two dimensions (so that they can support each other of course). We came into existence when the first turtle coughed from one of his dimensions into one of ours and it's turtles all the way down from here.

well they contend that the sun is basicaly a big ball of gas in constant nuclear reaction. The enegry came from the nebula, the star basically split from it and was sustaining itself.

The sun does not "create" enegry; it is radiating it out into the around surrounding it. Giving us enegry here on earth, but also to the other planets. The enegry can become insignificant in the vastness of space, but is significant here where we have a closed organic system.

At some point, the amount of gas in the sun will be so little that it is overwhelmed. Then i believe it either becomes a super giant or a white dwarf, and either supernovas or turns into a blackhole.

Steven hawking describes in his lectures that a sun that has used all of it's energy implodes and becomes a black hole. But our sun is very young and wont do so for hundreds of billions of years.

I have another hypothesis. I believe you are improperly oversimplifying "Zero Energy" to reach a conclusion of "Nothing".

It is not incorrect to state that a positve energy charge and a negative energy charge cancel each other out and so therefore there is Zero Energy, because energy is defined as the ability to do work and this ability to do work is negated. However, since energy transformations in the universe over time are characterized by various kinds of potential energy that has been available since the Big Bang, later being "released" (transformed to more active types of energy such as kinetic or radiant energy), when a triggering mechanism is available, I hypothosize that the "Zero Energy Balance" is really just another form of potential energy that has a triggering mechanism that we don't as of yet understand (hense the trigger of the Big-Bang).

So with the universe starting out with Zero Energy, it was actually Potential energy with zero net force and this would not be Nothing. It was everything, merely waiting for a triggering mechanism to initiate the Big-Bang.

And that's my Hypothesis :)

No he doesn't. Read up on stellar death. Our sun will never become a black hole, and it will "die" in closer to 5 billion years.

someone may correct me here , but the " zero energy " is another way of saying that the energy of gravity acts as a negative energy , canceling out the positive energy of mass ( remember , until you actually add mass to the space feild , there is no gravity force )
