weed makes your short term memory suck complete balls if you smoke it all the time. it also makes every day tasks seem more difficult if you smoke it all the time.

stupid people currently use marijuana and the only thing keeping responsible people from beginning to use it is to keep it illegal. it is a detrimental substance and there is no reason to make it legal. the pro-weed people always use stupid stuff like "well cigarettes and alcohol are legal so weed should be to". no one has ever once gave a responsible reason for marijuana legalization.

Seriously? I won't even get into the medical benefits of THC because quite honestly that doesn't apply to the outright legalization argument. There's NEVER been an overdose, not once. Also Alcohol the staple of American intoxication...world intoxication really, has the ability to make people violent, vomit and be just plain stupid (plus it's addictive). Everytime i've EVER seen a group of people drink to extreme excess something goes terribly wrong (dui's, fights, broken teeth, drunken bareknuckle boxing, running around public drunk, etc. etc.). Anytime i've seen people smoke an excessive amount of pot, They get giggly red eyed and hungry and watch movies and talk. So looking at it from the "safer for society" or "more responsible to have legal" look at potheads...then look at alcoholics. OH Let's not forget the fact that when i was in school (not long ago at all i graduated in 2009) and this is still true for me now...it's so much easier to get a bag of pot than a bottle of booze...Why? because it's regulated by the government and i would need to find someone over 21 to buy the shit for me. If pot were legal it would be the same way, so by not legalizing pot you're making it easier for it to fall into the hands of the youth.

its comparing apples and oranges. you are still impaired under the influence and therefore there is no reason to make another detrimental legal so more people use it. give me a responsible logical reason why marijuana should be legal for everyone and we can go from there.(this means on its own merit)

so making it harder for kids to get isn't a good reason? You don't mind that dealers don't ID? Plus dealers will have other goodies for the kids to try (mushrooms, LSD, i got offered coke once while getting pot, painkillers are often held by pot dealers as well.)

Pot doesnt even come close to anything like that in terms of health

And actually cannabis has been used as a healing herb in many cultures throughout history. Its why some glaucoma and cancer patients use it; since its much better than vicadin. Doesnt have any negative side effects either

again its apples and oranges. you cannot compare it to alcohol and cigs and say well they are bad to so it should be allowed to. thats just saying you don't give a shit about your health and wanna get high cause you like it.

the only valid points you made was the cost of prisoners in which case for the minor infractions issue fines not jail time and that would cut down on a lot of the lesser criminals in jail.
