thats what i meant by we are too intelligent for our own good, we chose a path that led us away from nature because we are aware..and in doing so we are committing suicide which is a sin!
if i was to die without realizing it then it wouldnt mean that i killed myself right? maybe i'm starting to get off topic, but like all the stuff i had in mind tied together at one point, and they go in and out of me, so it's hard to grasp everything at once, but like, thats why i think the bible relates to nature which relates to science, though science branched off into stupid things but nature stays consistent

by getting smaller i meant as a whole, if someone was to look at our universe and see its growth, we are becoming smaller? because if that someone is infinately large, then we just look smaller if we arent growing ..oh but i guess we are growing too...so then i guess we just look like we're staying the same size.........................................lol

mixing science and religion?

as for suicide, if you are trying to blame our intelligence, you need to realize that a lack of intelligence would cause many more deaths and decrease the life expectancy significantly. its like saying birds with wings are too evolved for their own good... i mean if they didnt have wings they wouldnt be able to fly into glass windows and die. Yet, they evolved to have wings??? they evolved too much for their own good...

as for your second part there, size is relative. so you cannot just say that we are getting smaller w/o relation to another object.

ummm birds have wings so that they can fly...lol
and I understand the lack of intelligence would cause a lot of deaths..but most of the deaths that are happening, we brought on ourselves...and it doesnt matter how long we get to live for, we will still live on in our children..so spending our time trying to extend our life-cycle is wasting our time when we can be spending it on studying nature...glass windows are there because we created them..

the birds having wings is an analogy to our evolution of intelligence.

i was merely saying that your argument of humans being too intelligent for our own good is like saying birds with wings are too evolved for their own good

what are these deaths that we brought on ourselves?

what im trying to get you to realize is everything in life has drawbacks, be it the evolution of our intelligence, wings, bipedalism, etc. Even though evolution of specific traits has drawbacks, it obviously has done greater good or it wouldnt have occurred.

lol we're destroying the planet...we're a lot smarter than other animals but at the same time we're killing ourselves..
i dont undersatnd your analogy..i mean like...birds have wings...they arent too evolved for their own good...they simply fly into buildings because of us...if we didnt build skyscrapers that wouldnt happen lol..
i understand that everything has drawbacks, but i mean like, if we just werent so greedy and selfish we wouldnt have this issue..but because we are we use our intelligence to benefit individual self rather than the earth as a whole

Take it from me, mate, it's not worth it. Every time you reply to him, his ideas get more obtuse and circular.

we are *changing* the planet not destroying it. there is a huge difference

/e you still havent told me how we are killing ourselves more than what our lack of intelligence would

lol sorry, maybe i should choose better words..but basically it's slowly becoming unfit for us to live on it right? i mean all the pollution and waste?
just look at like nature..how does it work so well? and the harder we try to fight viruses with chemicals, the more it evolves to fight back right?
i wonder...would things have been different if we just tried to study life? instead of going so deep into trying to understand how to extract molecules and create other shit that we dont really need?

if the earth is slowly becoming unfit to live in, then we need to evolve or die off.

as for viruses evolving, their evolution to withstand our current treatments open new pathways for us to develop new chemicals to use and once again kill them.

/e change is a driving force for evolution.
