These "smarter people" also said that nuclear bombs were safe and that the swine flu would kill 90% of humanity.

hey Not trying to be rude or disrespectful cause this is just an opinion, But  I have a feeling there are greater forces then the government at work on our planet contoling what goes on and who they let down into the depths of our oceans.  Don't u think it's kind of strange we have countless missions into space, but have only made one or two trips to the deepest part of the ocean? Idk I may sound crazy, but just seems strange to me.

Did you ever learn basic physics in high school?

1. It is so dark deep in the ocean that it would be almost impossible to see anything.

2. The pressure would collapse almost all human organs that deep.

You see the limits of space is just getting past our gravitational forces and atmosphere. And all that requires is some force. And once we past that, there is hardly any force against us except time.

It will be a very long time before we ever have the technology to explore the very deep sea.

We have sent a manned mission to the deepest part of the ocean back in like, the 70s I think. It was like an egg sub, and one of the windows did crack under the pressure.. but luckily it didnt implode and crush the thing like a can.
But yeah, more people have been to the Moon than to the bottom of the ocean. Why? I guess we're waiting until submersibles become more advanced so they wont have to fear being crushed because of some small design flaw in the sub.

The callowness of some people is rather astonishing. Sir, you honestly believe nuclear bombs to be safe?

properly maintained they sure are. responsibility is the only thing that makes a perfectly good weapon into a bad one.
