Definitely true.
To deny the truth is to be ignorant to oneself and to live an ignorant and false life in bliss is a life not worth living.
I mean think about the moon landing and global warming...
People deny them.
Does that mean they didn't happen?

If a large 'space rock' were heading on a colission course with Earth we probably would have no clue til it hit us. Most(all?) of the larger telescopes are fixed to observe quite small parts of the sky, it would be more likely that an amature gazed out on the right spot to find an eventual threat, but even if someone actually did spot a large threat we couldn't do shit about it.

lol, line up every year? impossible.

We have a program whose job it is to observe and catalog asteroids that could have possible collision courses with earth, Near Earth Asteroid Program I think is what it's called..we would probably know about it long before it hits the Earth

Not at all. The focus on asteroids that might collide with our planet is very small. There are some enthousiasts looking for them and a few observatories, but not much more. In fact, there have been quite a few instances where the asteroids missed us by an astronomical inch, where the asteroids have only been observed long after they passed.
