I chose Darwin because, While other scientific achievement made by other others are amazing, Darwin hit a more important mark. For instance, Einstein's theories are very complex and are of astounding depth, I feel it was more important to know where we, as humans originated. Now that we know where we are from, it is  more amazing that we HAVE Einstein's theories but Einstein came from an ape!

Seems you haven't understood Darwin completely. It is wrong to say we 'evolved' from apes, rather that the ancestor of the ape and man were the same and slowly that ancestor branched off in two different directions. While I feel that it is good to know Darwin's theory, it is practically useless while Einstein's theories have had MANY applications.

Socrates would of been on there if I had more spots. I believe I can only do 10 poll options though. Kind of disappointing, but eh. Yea if there was no limit the poll choices probably would of increased by at least a hundred or so.

Keep the votes coming. If there are other people you would like recognized, please post them here. Even if you have already taken the poll, you can comment in this thread.

If you're going to add ancient scientists/philosophers add arabic, indian, chinese, mesopotamian etc... They really had a lot of knowledge and, in my opinion, were far more advanced than Greeks.
