Doesn't a solar eclipse tell you the exact sizes and distances of the objects involved by looking at how the visible portion changes moving across the globe, using basic geometry

Or is this more trickery by the man?

Didn't you know? Geometry is in on the conspiracy.

I've already posted the link that show the geometry for whether the sun/moon is far away are both correct, and the only difference between the two is that you need to assume the world is round to get the extreme distance baboons take as faith, and when this assumption was made -Nasa was not around to show us fake pictures.

Only idiots think there is one geometric equation and you certainly fit the bill.

Sounds like you learned your math in a bar after 33 shots of tequila.

Actually this exact experiment can be used to show how wrong you are, repeat it at different points on the Earth. On each measurement, if you assume the Earth is round, you will get the same answer. If you assume it is flat you will get wildly different answers each time.

You have to do a little bit of calculation
It's not just Pythagoras

You do it assuming its curved, you do it assuming its flat. If you get the same answer then geometry is wrong!

yes one way you get the earth and sun are close - the other way you get they are far away - I'm not argueing with the geometry, just the assumption that the earth is curved and that 2000 years ago when they did the math - there was no way to assume curve unless you think they had Graphic artist's doing Nasa illustrations back then too.
