That's because things that are close and more in the center show less distortion, why do you keep embarrassing yourself by trying to prove ball earth belief is not just social pressure to conform by applying social pressure by conform. Wide angle lenses distort based on the distance to the center of the photo, not the distance to the object in the photo. So yet again, magical 12 Jew Lizardman NWO lens.
