The mayas didn't have enough space on their calendras, only reason why it stopped in 2012. Everyone puts meaning where there is none.

Also, the X Files.

Its impossible for Mercury or Venus to block out the sun. Those are the only two planets that pass between Earth and the Sun, and they appear very small from Earth.

However, as we pass through the Ecliptic Plane of the Milky Way Galaxy, it will be dark until we "Catch up" to the sun which has already passed through to the other side. Its difficult to explain, but maybe this will help:

So in this case, its not a matter of specific planets orbiting the sun, but this entire Solar System as it orbits the Milky Way Galaxy in a wavelike orbit. Everything goes up to a larger scale, and everything moves in cycles.

 that's incredibly stupid. I don't even think I should need to explain why, but I'll do it if I have to.

Its difficult to descibe it, but when you're close enough to the ecliptic plane, it looks black, which is what the Mayans spoke of as "The Dark Rift"

Either the Sun or the Earth, will go through it first.

If the sun goes through first, it will look as though it disappeared into the blackness. At the rate of travel, it will take 3 days for the Earth to catch up, (roughly) depending on the angle we hit it at. (This explains the 3 days of darkness spoken of)... When we "Come out on the other side" we will see the sun again. Either way, the sun will fade from view for 3 days, unless of course we are lined up just right so that we hit it parallel with the sun, but according to the Mayans, (who have predicted our modern day eclipses to the hour) we will have the 3 days of dark.

Its really hard to explain, I'd like to make a 3d model so that people could understand it a little easier, its quite simple actually when you fully grasp it.

I feel like we have more to worry about what's gunna happen soon. I'm not sure how many of u r from America but we as a gavernment have been pushing our debt for too long. Pretty soon no ones going to want to lend us money and our economy will fall very shortly after. Causing us to revert back to pre industrial age life in a short time after.

This goes in hand with NASAs discovery of life being supportable on mars. The rich from America will be long gone for this and America will become a 3rd world country far behind everyone else. All the buildings and parking lots we build will be wasting space for agriculture, which will be the most important priorty at that point. Our country keeps putting our nose in eceryones business when we have pressing matters in our own country. The dollar used to be the highest valued currency, now there's 2 that are valued more and bight a considerable ammount if I remember correctly.

All I'm saying is lifes gunna change pretty soon, and it's probably gunna cause alot of people to die, but darwins theory of natural selection is very true. There's far too many people on this planet and not nearly enough resources to support life for very long at our reproduction rate.
