Morality exists independent of any religion. Religious books contain no more truth than any other collection of short stories
Yes they do, but you have to understand the truth first, to find it in religious books... At this moment, religions are spreading false interpretations of their books, because they can't see the truth in it.
Anyways, the book I'm talking about is not religion, just truth you can check... and explain it better than myself.
quote : "Most of the truth is found in science and nowhere else. Truth is also found in philosophy, novels, movies, music, poetry and the performing arts etc."
Please read it before you post your opinion on it here.

Truth set me free from religion. Things attributed to what Jesus said are generally pretty good, but for example, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26 (and it doesn't get better with the context).
Combine that with 1 John 3:15 for a bit of a laugh: "Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him."
I think the world hate should be replaced with love, then it makes sense... Maybe you take this from bad traduction, Jesus won't say that. The truth is that you have to love yourself and whole mankind... You have to love life (to love love^^).
Anyways I didn't say the whole religions books are full of truth, they just contain pieces of truth, if you interpret them correctly. + read my answer to queso.

The truth people who do not agree with religion think there is nothing greater then themselves mahaha who believes the bigger lie?
I don't know exactly what you mean, but I don't consider myself better than anyone else... I don't agree with religions the way they are currently interpreted either.
