Morality exists independent of any religion. Religious books contain no more truth than any other collection of short stories

Yes they do, but you have to understand the truth first, to find it in religious books... At this moment, religions are spreading false interpretations of their books, because they can't see the truth in it.
Anyways, the book I'm talking about is not religion, just truth you can check... and explain it better than myself.
quote : "Most of the truth is found in science and nowhere else. Truth is also found in philosophy, novels, movies, music, poetry and the performing arts etc."

Please read it before you post your opinion on it here.

Truth set me free from religion. Things attributed to what Jesus said are generally pretty good, but for example, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26 (and it doesn't get better with the context).

Combine that with 1 John 3:15 for a bit of a laugh: "Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him."

I think the world hate should be replaced with love, then it makes sense... Maybe you take this from bad traduction, Jesus won't say that. The truth is that you have to love yourself and whole mankind... You have to love life (to love love^^).
Anyways I didn't say the whole religions books are full of truth, they just contain pieces of truth, if you interpret them correctly. + read my answer to queso.

The truth people who do not agree with religion think there is nothing greater then themselves mahaha who believes the bigger lie?

I don't know exactly what you mean, but I don't consider myself better than anyone else... I don't agree with religions the way they are currently interpreted either.

It's not the translation. Feel free to read more translations: http://bible.cc/luke/14-26.htm

Almost any book at random contains pieces of truth and good morality, especially if you're able to "interpret them correctly", meaning take what's written on the page and overlay your own reasoning so that whatever the page actually says is completely irrelevant.

Agree Why I say all religions wrong and right at same time..Man writes down his meaning mixed with Gods. Soo we see the parts of mans understanding is all. There is no religion that can make you evil just your acts as a human can do that.

Exactly, The Present just help you to see the truth pieces in "holy" books, or even in novels and music like The Beatles or Bob Marley for exemple, or some movies etc (that's why I encourage you to read it).

Hello brother,

My name is Etienne and my life changed few days ago, when I found a website called Truthcontent.
Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click on the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says.

I'm posting this here because it talks about the true nature of life, explained by scientific evidence.
The autor quotes some of the greatest scientists and wise people.

Now I finished to read it, I found a new meaning for my life, a purpose... a path to the ultimate truth of life.
That's why I encourrage you to read it with all my heart, so you can seek the truth with me brother.

Kindly,
Eti

No thanks. I'm going to finish reading the trilogy for The Hunger Games since I already read the first two parts. Then I'll read Teen People to find out what's up with Kristen Stewart and Robert Patinson, because that'll be much more worth it than reading anything that passes itself off as new age spiritual truth.

"Religious books are not just filled with myths and morality tales as many people believe. The truth is in them; they are just being misinterpreted by religions."
The second version of The Present explains it very well http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-with-religion/

That's the problem with religious texts.. They may have been altered from the originals, are open to interpretation, and vague enough that the innocent stay confused until the day they die and the corrupt can take advantage of people. If you want the 'truth' of living a free, happy, and harmonious life, you need to think for yourself, and question the authorities that seek to take advantage. You don't need any text or sermon to follow your heart.

And you can say that your website doesn't promote a religion, but really if you think about it, what is religion? It's having faith in something that you believe is part of a bigger picture than what we see and know now. Sounds like that pretty much sums up what your website is about... It's just not mainstream.
