Let's say I have a particle that decays in 10 seconds. I put that particle in a particle accelerator and whip it up close to the speed of light. How long will it take for the particle to decay?

Hint: It has nothing to do with how long the light coming from the particle accelerator needs to travel to the observer.

Depending if the acceleration towards the speed of light was instantaneous (from 0-speed of light instantaneously), 10 seconds in reality.

Hint: When the particle is moving she is not in the same momentum as you. Especially at the speed of light.

Speed DOESNT affect clocks, only for different observers in different momentums.

We have measured different times on atomic clocks due to time dilation

So here, tell me how can I be wrong about this;

Imagine you have a very powerful telescope, that can actually focus and see the ground floor of a very distant planet located 1 billion light years away and you see an alien civilization there..

That alien civilization that you found IS NOT there in reality, it WAS there 1 billion years ago.

Now say that it is confirmed we can travel faster than the speed of light, and fly to a distant place in the universe 5 light years away (imagine we travel 2 times faster than light), so we would get to that place in 2.5 years, then we look back to earth and EVERYTHING WE WOULD SEE for the next 2.5 years was our past when we were on earth the last 2.5 years.

Mind blown? ^^ we are close to this point.

I know this will happen, I know we will be able to travel faster than light speed and even teleportation, and im sure it will be used to catch criminals ;p
So you better be carefull with what you do now cause there's a slight chance for someone to see you in the future ;p

If that idea blows your mind thats not saying much

its really any more interesting than a video camera

and what do you mean "you know we will be able to travel faster than light". Do you know that its not possible within the laws of physics?

He's already stated the laws of physics are wrong

Laws of physics .. LOL
Hey man you've already proved MANY times that your mind can't move any further if not reading a book or listening to a preach.
I don't even know what to tell you here because you are like 40 years behind Derek, and Derek is already 20 years behind me, now imagine..

Your first in a thread of mine was already too obvious you must be like 40yo that still has the old history books memorized (because they are important), and follow 100% your parents ideology of what's right or wrong, and their way to see life and live.

Or tell me, aren't you the copy/paste of your parents ideologies?

Saying that what a person says is not correct because he smokes weed is like so lol (no other words can describe it better)

There is a time dilation when 2 particles are not in the same momentum
There is not a time dilation when 2 particles are in the same momentum

No it is not possible to travel back in time and kiss your grand grand mother
Yes its possible to see the past and look at your grand grand mother

..Or it would be assuming you can travel faster than the speed of light.

There is NO TIME DILATION traveling at the speed of light.
Speed doesn't affect clocks, Einstein was wrong.. Or prove me wrong.

you're an idiot

they aren't ideologies, they are physical laws of the universe

and no one believes them because their parents did (honeslty most old people don't know what relativity really is), people believe them because they are supported over and over again in experiments. I.e clock synchronization and mass increase in particle accelerators

stop trolling, you cant travel faster than light. at some point your going to have to come to terms with the fact that einstein was smarter than you

there is no time when you're traveling at c

and velocity does affect time relative to another observer; and trust me, pretty much everything you say has been proven wrong

Wait a second, are you trying to pretend that you were trolling now? That's sad man.

I referred to ideologies from your parents. Which is in a totally different paragraph than my laws of physics comment.
How did you end up relating ideologies with laws if physics?

I don't know how you did it, but that's some serious issues on your part ^^

Ideologies of life =/= laws of physics

how do you get that "im pretending to troll" from me telling you to stop trolling

are you completely illiterate or only 70%?
