the simplest real life application is fire
burn some wood , and you will see mass being turned into energy

lol no.

Iso more explanation. Too complicated for my little brain :wallbash:

The best comparison I can think of is water. It exists as gas, solid, and liquid. Think of energy as water overall and maybe matter as one of the three phases.

Matter is just the conclusion humans have come to in order to explain the existence of objects and material. Energy is everything, matter is just one manifestation of energy.

then, maybe look at this :

energy is waves, and wave have different states, that is the frequences, and now Matter is juste one/many of frequequences ( like: light/colors or sounds )
in a very very fast way but ... maybe you can better look of that ? ;)

If you convert Uran to lighter element.

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather."

I really don't have a good answer to this but one cool example of going from energy to matter is that of a vacuum.

Better yet a vacuum with high energy density such as one with strong electric and magnetic fields at work, in this case electrons pop out of the energy and typically around a main electron there will be other electrons appearing and disappearing around it. This is called a dressed electron, on the other hand there can be a naked electron where it would stand alone.

what might blow your mind is energy can not be created or destroyed just merely transformed :D so everything here today was created at the big bang / expansion and nothing has been added from that point just transformed into diffrent types of matter

no one knows

we don't even know what gives mass to anything

it could be quite possible what we perceive as mass is energy. we hypothesize now that there is a web that when interacted with gives the illusion of something being solid.

why?

everyone knows that the main subatomic particles are electrons, protons and neutrons. electrons weighing i think 1.16 X10^-16. that is basically nothing. the protons and neutrons (which make up the nucleus) make up all the weight of an atom. inside the nucleus are quarks. you'd expect the quarks to add up to weigh as much as the nucleus. in reality they weigh nowhere near as much. in fact they weight about as much as the electrons. so where does mass or matter even come from? we think it's the higgs boson. we requires an inter connective web to explain it.

None of my teachers could explain this. Does anyone want to enlighten me?

I'm interested in both the theory behind it, real life applications, and ways you think it can be done in the future. Thanks

energy can be in a lot of forms

lets say canned peaches
it start out from seed absorbing energy from nature ~ heat
then it gets fertilized/grow ~ water
processing ~ slicing/peeling watts/joules/ohms
packaging ~ watts/joules/ohms
purchasing ~ Calories
consumption~ +Calories -Calories
excrete~ Calories

you can call all that energy or transferred nrg
the common belief is that energy have to be applicable or useful to something; however, the term "energy" already implies energy is transferable.
i think the question should be ask more clearly
