Did you really think I didn't look at the URL? C'mon, man... find the context of the picture. Where on NASA's site is that image sourced? They probably have either information describing what is in the picture, or at the very least, information about what the way that the picture was taken. That's obviously some sort of picture taken outside of the visible spectrum, but where is the camera that took the picture? Is it in orbit? Is it on Earth? Is it at one of the Legrangian points of the Earth-Sun system?

http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/realtime/c3/512/I am however, leaning toward it being Venus. The camera is probably aligned so that venus is in full view (Although it does seem unusually bright and large) whereas the Earth is in a position where we can't see venus.
