thought is powered by electrons whizzing around in the brain, which move at approxiamtely the speed of light. many electrons are needed for a complete thought. therefore, in order to have a complete thought, you must have many electrons pass through one point, but not all at the same time (or something like that; we dont actually know how the brain works electrically quite yet). this means that your thoughts are slightly slower than the speed of light.

doesnt mean you can think that fast though... you'd burn out your reserves of melatonin pretty quick and just fall over asleep from thinking too much.

ya like paired photons and gravitons or are they ever really even there except when we observe them? hmm?

i dont think so, at least not according to brian greene's book (i could be wrong?) anyways my point was that there are things that react over a distance, faster than the speed of light.

hawking radiation might travel at speed greater than the speed of light, these photons counterparts certainly must (into the heart of the black hole).

iso proof of gravitrons. bring me and you will recieve a nobel prize after i am awarded it for stealing your work.

yes but it is a loose knit theory. all the same i would never discredit anything richard feynman has to say.

True, Feynman's a genius too. Though if Einstein were still around and knew the things Feynman did, I'm sure he'd consider modifying relativity too, if the speed of light actually does turn out to be a variable (and by speed of light I mean the absolute speed limit of 299,792,458 m/s and not the speed that any give light wave is traveling at any moment of time).

true. theoretically measuring a photon travelling under a "plank length" could be faster or slower than "light speed" possibly even backwards. same applies to time itself. yep time going backwards.

Thoughts are much faster because I personally have been able to think up an entire plan worth probably 63 pages in a word document all out in a split instantaneous second before.

By plan I mean my next moves and what to do if this happens, everything worked out in an instant thought. Or you could call it instinct but I still 'thought' about it. The human mind is a very complex thing to understand indeed.

[You have to tell this joke with a native accent]

There were 3 Indians (native americans) sitting in a room contemplating life, and the topic of the fastest thing known to man came up...

The 1st Indian said:

"You know, the fastest thing known to man is a thought... Before you can even think about it, its there."

The 2nd indian said:

"No no no, what are ya talkin' about anyhow? The fastest thing known to man is a lightswitch. as soon as ya flick it, its on."

But the 3rd Indian said:

"No, no, no, you're both wrong... The fastest thing known to man... is diahrrea... I mean last night in bed, before I could even think about turnin' on the lightswitch, there was shit everywhere!"

if thoughts were faster than light then they would travel backwards in time.
