If one is of Christian beliefs there is no doubt he was there its by faith that they believe he was there, faith is a strong belief in a certain thing... so if you believe something is true it is, true to you...
also if they are christian they believe in the bible and the first verse in the bible says "In the Beginning" so therefor that is what they would say.
As far as your paradox that is simply all it is... yours... everyone is entitled to there own opinion and that's that...
