Create a time machine to before the Oil Spill and prevent it from happening. If it couldn't be prevented then go back far enough and prevent BP from becoming a business (the same for Exxon).

Well, I see the op decided to cross-post and multi-post this thread, so I will just quote myself:

PREVENTION!

Make sure the owners of oil rigs not only pay their fines, but, shut down until actual repairs of safety systems were made.

As to the current debacle:

You mean to tell me, with all of the scientists and engineers that work for BP and other oil companies they can't come up with a viable solution to cap this thing?
What about the so-called community of brilliant scientists and engineers worldwide?
Better yet, doesn't NASA have some the smartest people on the planet? And they can't solve this?>

Sorry folks, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but ask yourself the same questions and then tell me there is no fix. There is a fix alright, lol.

Better yet, keep oil industry and auto industry from buying up alternative fuel means patents and shelving them for decades. There have been answers to fossil fuels for years but the "money" won't allow it to happen. How much greed is enough?
