Your post in GC only proved this further to me. Perhaps you should ask your god for a better understanding of people instead of being so judgmental towards them personally.
You have a right to an opinion and I gladly accept them, but I feel you are trying to hard to pin me as a person instead of helping me deal with the problem I had.

Try drinking, or smoking before you fall asleep.. anytime I do either, I never dream at all or I just dont remember it.
Nightmares never bother me, but sleep paralysis is a bitch. I've had that a few times and its no fun at all.

I used to depend on weed to help me sleep.

nightmare apear when you aint happy with your self, your brain explore it self in dreams ánd if may effect you in a possitive way when awaken

and that not your "look"
maybe small things a fight with your dad anything!

you dont want to be afraid of sleep, but at the same time you like the rush you can get from it.
what can be done when your body is enjoying the show? your body will do it as long as it wants and your mind must follow.
The pattern repeats no matter how tired you get.

Maybe do wut Tyler Durden did and cry in a seminar. He slept like a baby, remember?

Try going for a long run (or any other type of exercise) until your body is extremely tried than take a nice hot shower and try and go to sleep. You will sleep like a baby and the endorphins released by the workout will make you feel more accomplished/happy.

Good luck to you man, I wish i had nightmares more often b/c i too love getting scared shitless by em
