The big bang theory is just a theory.

Usually theories come from a single person who thought up the idea. Now tell me did this theory come from a single person or did a group of individuals come up with this idea through a random conversation?

How did the big bang theory come into play in the first place?

this is a scientific theory not a "theory". the two are completely different.

So why is the big bang taught as fact when nobody was there to see it happen or record it. Also where did the big bang come from? Nothing can't create something. Also idk when the last time an explosion created something. Hoping someone has the answers to these questions.

The big bang theory is, as the name indicates, nothing but a theory. It is not a fact and the reason it is being taught at schools is that we currently have no scientific evidence on how the universe was created. This theory does however fit in every way with what we can observe (the universe expanding, radiation from space etc). But no teacher will ever tell you it's a fact (and if he does he should be fired)

It's important to understand a scientific theory is different from the everyday usage of the word theory. In science, a theory is a "collection of concepts, including abstractions of observable phenomena expressed as quantifiable properties, together with rules (called scientific laws) that express relationships between observations of such concepts. A scientific theory is constructed to conform to available empirical data about such observations, and is put forth as a principle or body of principles for explaining a class of phenomena."

Examples of scientific theory's:

- Germ theory of disease
- Theory of Evolution
- Cell theory

Sometimes evidence for something makes us believe this is true, even though there's actually a third option, that we do not know yet. Don't get me wrong, i believe the big bang was what created the universe, but all these evidence are just observations, that all lead us against the same thing, this being the big bang. At least this is my view on things, but there are tons of things i don't know about this so i might be wrong.

i think its to do with the fact that we can accurately measure the length of time radioactive particles have been decaying for (Half-life), from this - somehow date their creation.

but dont quote me on this^^

It's mostly abductive reasoning, but the Big Bang (along with cosmic inflation) explains nicely the cosmic background radiation and the expansion of the universe.
