The underlined part is pretty, what I like to see, because it's easy for me to refuse that. I have an iTouch 2nd generation with 8GB.
And I cannot afford any other Apple product, might look forward to organize myself on buying an iPod Touch "4th gen", but that's future music.
Sure, there are lots of "Apple-fanboys", but somewhere it needs to have it's reasons, me for myself I'm pretty much impressed by their business concept, rather then by their technology invention.
Anyways I'd like to help people out and discuss with them about this "phenomenon" Apple, on which products you pay a huge amount for their lable.
Now the point of discussions concerns the miracle, if the iPad, that does not bring any new revolutionizing features with it's release, can handle the market and even not be a dead article and so a "non-high-profit-project" for Apple.
My bad information from wikipedia on the brand is, that they have cancelled any devices, that were not selling well enough.

So my opinion is, that the iPad might not be the seller, but it's opening and focussing on a market, that needs such a presentation, all other brands did not manage to do so yet.

You use way too many commas.

It's no secret that Apple has a special tax on every bit of hardware they sell. I could scrap any one of it's lineup for parts and reclaim roughly a third of the net cost of the device, and that's being optimistic. Their market is towards technologically illiterate peasants (with deep pockets) who want to appear trendy. I guess if the "business concept" which most appeals to you is condescending to it's respective fan base, good for you.

LOLOLOLOLOL

so can we extrapolate from that and get that the only people who like macs are spoiled rich kids/people who can't manage their money properly? Or people who don't know anything about computers/technology in general?

You don't mention ANYTHING technical about why you think macs are good. Not a single mention of programs, software, hardware, uses, compatibility, etc. Means you probably aren't skilled in technology.
You completely failed to realize that maybe people who bitch about macs are people who think the price is too high and not because they can't afford? And besides, if your potential consumers can't afford your product it speaks volumes about the company.

Cost is a critical component of comparing any product, how ridiculous to just disregard it.

I am forced to conclude that you like Macs only for the simple reason of "They look good".
It's OK, a lot of Apple fans have this mindset too.

Too bad Apple is like Sony. They focus on advertising/marketing along with making their own stuff of course, but the stuff they make is very basic.

Take the Ipad for an example, I read somewhere that the Ipad cost roughly $250 to make. They sell at $499 and up, that is $250 profit+ every Ipad. More than one company is benefiting from the Ipad than just Apple. I.e Samsung, Texas Instruments and so much more just because Apple can't make their own stuff, surprising? Samsung makes so many stuff for Apple, they even have a life term contract for screens for Ipads/touch/phones etc.

What I'm trying to get at is that Apple isn't revolutionary, they just have a "name" for themselves such as Sony - Sony too doesn't make everything themselves yet they advertise like crazy. Don't take me wrong though, every company can't do everything on their own. But Apple NEEDS the other companies, without them they are nothing.

Apple is more of a trend, if you remember back then when Motorola came out with the Razor phone the flip and very thin one at the time, everyone was buying those, but even that didn't last. Apple is just a trend, they will soon be "so last year."

Though I would like to thank Apple because once they make something "popular" REAL companies will soon follow in and do it right. I.e Iphone - doesn't have shit besides useless apps.

No, boisssy, the fact that companies use other companies' stuff in their product is a GOOD thing.

The more "parties" you have contributing, the more options you have. Take any computer. Everything is from different companies. RAM, keyboard, monitor, mouse, printer, graphics video and sound cards, speakers, processor, motherboard, OS, etc. And don't get started on all the programs you'll be installing and whatnot. Microsoft NEEDS companies like Intel, Nvidia, AMD to make their computer hardware, and they're OK with that, because no company can specialize in everything.

When Apple tries to do everything itself, it starts failing, not succeeding.
