If the universe / multiverse is as big as we think it is, the chances of us being alone is WAY WAY WAY smaller than the chances of some other intelligent lifeforms are trolling out there..
The chances of us EVER having contact with them are VERY VERY VERY small..
/e don't remember the exact numbers
and btw @ ur sig.. SHE IS NOT
So, you know the odds of life forming? Please share. Those two statements are completely false. For them to be made we would have to know the odds...

even with a 1/1m chance of life evolving on a planet, there would be BILLIONS and BILLIONS of planets with some kind of life out there..
Since we only know our planet we might not even be able to detect or we might not even consider the things we find as "life".
And what if the odds of life forming or 1 / googolplex? Or Worse?

But if you believe in an infite universe, theres no doubt that theres a lot of life out there.
If you believe the universe is infinite with an infinite amount of matter, well I guess you could make those statements. But I'm pretty sure the popular theory is that the universe is finite. If you believe the Big Bang theory then the universe has a finite amount of matter.
Its all about opinion at this point. Personally, I do believe that there is other intelligent life out there, but you cannot make a statement about the odds.
