This video may help wet your appetite for moving to Linux.
Pog O_O
i have been meaning to install a linux partitiion to try it out but i dont know which one to pick.
would just pick a popular one as it would have the most support and documentations going for them
been loving ubuntu since it came out but in my case lately it hasnt been very stable with D2R
which now with
Arch Linux is very stable (which
SteamOS is also based on)
at the end of the day, it dont really matter which one u pick, always been able to make any distro look and work the same as every other distro
seems like lately those tech youtubers that are quite new to linux are using
Bazzite (gamers nexus & jayz two cents)
so like:
- QubesOS - not for videogaming but if you're a nerd doing nerdy things, it's pretty amazing
- SteamOS (based on Arch) - should be user friendly or enough for newcomers to the linux ecosystem
- Arch linux - if you start off with SteamOS you could later move to Arch and with your new knowledges regarding that ecosystem, make it fit your needs with the same or similar tools that you would have used on SteamOS
- Bazzite (based on Fedora) - i dont know much about it but seems like is getting popular with those youtubers tech reviewers so i guess it should be user friendly and able to run the videogames too
tldr: it dont matter, just pick one thats popular like even Ubuntu (based on Debian) or Mint (based on Ubuntu) but would recommend
Arch just from it being stable with D2R, there's a reason Steam picked it for their own version of it, it runs shits well
