basically this video talks about why people reject new ideas in favour of familiar old ones, because they are comfortable and are afraid of new, yup she's 100% right. Also if they are accustomed to fear based rhetoric - they are attracted to it, because it makes them feel all warm and gushy on the inside - kinda like the smell of Mom's apple pie - mmmmm comfort.
The idea itself doesn't matter - people dont even listen most of time to what anyone says.

Yes, the icebergs had enough of humans trespassing on their turf

so they all huddled together in a protest line to stop passing ships

i'd agree but i've personally seen some shit i can't explain rationally.

literally thought someone was being heli evac'd turned around and all the sudden nothing was hovering over the house anymore and i was sitting on top of a hill with perfect vision of the surround airspace.

world is more fucked up than we think imo.

So if the Earth is round was a 2500 years old example of circular assumption because Eratosthenes had to assume the sun was far away and therefore light rays between cities 800km apart would be completely parallel, and only a round earth could account for difference in shadow length of the same size objects 800 km's apart. And how could he assume the sun was far away - by using parallax and trigonometry and assuming the Earth was curved thereby create a 2500 year old example of circular logic that you 10000000% believe in and your complaining about books that are only 100 years old - omfg you're stupid kid.

Why is Heliocentricity correct?

Because the Earth is round.

How do we know the earth is round?

Because the Sun is far away.

How do we know the Sun is far away?

Because the Earth is round.

And why is this not an example of circular logic?

Because 2 assumptions = a right.
