watch the bottom of the comet

Comet jet awakens

Looking at Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko at exactly the right moment, Rosetta’s OSIRIS wide-angle camera captures the moment a jet bursts into action. The first image was captured at 06:13 GMT on 12 March, the second two minutes later.

Under the viewing conditions at this time, the comet appears largely in shadow, with the ‘underside’ of the comet’s large lobe beautifully silhouetted against the background glow of activity that surrounds the nucleus.
A hint of the small comet lobe can also be made out in the distance.
A second image, captured around 13 hours later on 16 April helps to provide the context. The slight difference in viewing geometry and illumination brings shadowed Imhotep into the light, making it easier to identify the neighbouring regional boundaries.

so get your telescopes out and find comet-67/p in the night-sky

esa is making another attempt to see if philae has regained battery power
from http://news.discovery.com/space/will-philae-wake-up-rosetta-comet-probe-is-listening-150511.htm

"We will listen anew from May 8-17," Rocard told AFP, but added a note of caution: "We cannot say with 100 percent certainty that it will wake up."

&

By Aug. 13 the comet will reach its closest point to the sun, or perihelion, before veering off again into the deeper reaches of space. ...
If Philae hadn't woken up by Aug. 14, it probably won't. It's location on the surface of the dusty iceball has been narrowed down to an area of about 30 by 50 meters (98 by 164 feet). But Rosetta's cameras have not yet spotted the probe, and scientists don't know if it is upright. Philae has to warm to at least about minus 45 degrees Celsius (minus 49 Fahrenheit) to wake up.
"Spring has sprung on the comet. The days are getting longer," Rosetta operations head Philippe Gaudon of CNES in Toulouse in the south of France.
"We hope to get about two or two-and-a-half hours of sunlight per day," for Philae.

regions that were in darkness during earlier parts of Rosetta’s time at 67P/C-G. As the comet approaches the Sun, the “seasons” are changing, so these and other parts of the comet are emerging into sunlight.

This single frame Rosetta navigation camera image of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko was taken on 23 October 2014 from a distance of 9.8 km from the comet centre. The average image scale is approximately 83 cm/pixel and the image measures about 850 m across. The image has been lightly processed to reveal details of the background cliffs and the faint glow of activity.

just as a reminder how the regions on the comet are named:
