The round-stone with face and hyeroglyphs engraved object that is shown everywhere with the topic-title "END OF HUMANKIND IN 2012!!!!", called "Mayan" by most of the silly and knowlege-lacking journalists isnt mayan at all,it belongs to the Aztecs culture,and theres no dates at all in that thing.
The real Mayan calender is an absolutly different object,that looks pretty different,it contains the 21.12.2012 but it isnt a "red date", this date got the same meaning as 31 december of every year-just one more year ended.

Some people think that the reason behind the 2012 hype is because they made a movie.

But it was because of the hype that they did make a movie in the first place. You're right, they took advantage of it right when it was at it's peak.

Many people were researching this long before they "hollywoodized" it.

The Milky Way Galaxy that our Solar System Orbits is a Supermassive Black Hole

The "core" pictured here is the "Black Hole"

Even though its not exactly "black" lol

Anyways, I made the wave movement a bit exaggerated in the drawing, but what people need to understand is this Solar System orbits the galaxy just like how our planets orbit the star (sun)... But in a galactic orbit, all the stars move together, and travel almost in a wavelike motion above and below the gravitational ecliptic plane of the Milky Way Galaxy.

When we go through the "Gravitational Plane" the influence will cause the sun to "burst" almost like a beacon when it suddenly lights up for a moment (the "moment" being a few days, perhaps even a week in order for the sun to fully pass through the influence of the flat "plane") This additional energy causes such a massive blow-off from the sun that it wipes out life.



I made the drawing like 5 years ago, I just threw it together to get the idea across, I'll do a better, more accurate one soon.

Let's be more realistic about this theory (even though I think it's complete shite)...

I'm going to predict there will be a MAJOR terrorist attack, or possibly war declaration (iran? north korea?) in 2012.
if the terrorist attack doesnt happen during the summer olympics in london, itll probably occur around the 21st december, because we're all shitting ourselves about getting spaghettified by a collapsing star, or earth getting completely smashed like a dropped egg by an invisible planet.

No, originally the hype wasn't coming from the media... It started in 2006 when many regular people started finding out about it.

The media took advantage of it when it was getting big.

The people with the "Investigate 9/11" posters in towns actually led a lot of people to the ultimate end that they would find out about 2012.
