Be sure to read the entire post before u comment, i mean this like: "what would kill me if i didn't have"

I would say Coolent and heating Devices (freezers,fridges,Heaters,Air conditioners) is the clear winner by a mile.
If you don't think about today, but what mankind need the most from the beginning, its storage and fresh/healthy food.

If you asked a caveman thousands of years ago what he wanted the most(and explained), what do you think he would answer? anything else seems totally useless.

But to answer the question Which is the most useful invention? u gotta pretend u don't have any of the others and u have to choose which one u would be able to live best with, if no one of the others where intact.

Communication has always been there and always will be there, regardless of phone,radio etc, its just alot easier now, and quicker.

Transportation aint really that necessary either, many people live their lives in one place and doesn't have much problems with it, but same as with the phone, they aint really needed, they just make things alot quicker.

TV, computers etc, cmon, we don't really need them at all... i don't feel like i need to even explain why (today they are used in everything, but we don't really need them to survive)

Light bulbs etc is a really nice invention, but i would say i could manage fine with just candles and such, not really anything we need to survive either.



So to sum it up, the only invention i can see that we REALLY NEED if i had to choose just one, would be Coolent and heating Devices (freezers,fridges,Heaters,Air conditioners)
If its what i feel we have the most use of today, it has to be Technological Devices (T.v's, computers, ect..)

wow everyone who repeatedly keeps posting in this topic is thoroughly stupid and useless.

THERES NO ONE MOST USEFUL INVENTION. WHY? BECAUSE THEY ALL EASE OUR LIFE IN SOME FORM OR WAY WHICH WITHOUT MODERNIZATION WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AT THE RATE IT IS TODAY.

easy to spot the needed diffrence here imo, i would easy survive without all those things (except Coolent and heating Devices (freezers,fridges,Heaters,Air conditioners).

wouldn't tvs and computer be also counted as communication devices because we can broadcast things over the tv like radios do or typing like i am now is sort of like talking on the phone because both are communicating
