Thank you,
yes these pots are quite efficient but the soil mix dries out faster so you have to water more often.
Thanks to their technology with their aerated structure and the dimensions of the pot, in my opinion this generates a more developed root network (i opened a pot few years ago - they are removable - with a pumpkin), the roots do not go around in circles as in a classic pot, the roots are cut by the air.
These pots are called "air pots" and can be bought on some online growshops.
Adding aromatic herbs was in my plans, including basil whose seeds I have already bought, and other aromatic plants, chives, parsley, coriander, chamomile chervil, and also other flowers, nasturtiums.
Thank you for the good advice because basil will adapt perfectly with this type of rich and moist soil.

https://i.imgur.com/n7r5b9X.jpgI thought it was an air pruning pot! Neat, my friend does soil blocks and they do the same thing, without all the polyurethane etc. It's way more effective. Instead of one long tap root that gets root bounded in circles, it spawns hundreds or thousands of new root shoots! Same concepts!
Basil is a great one, same with cilantro, parsley, oregano, dill, thyme, even a tomato will help prevent bugs on pumpkin 🎃
Would be nice if you had corn already 7 inches high in that patch too
Looking great, out of town for wedding but I'll post more
