I also think the NASA report (although I can not find it ATM) stated that this planet was most likely in late "greenhouse" effects, so even though its in the "g" spot.. it would never be a reasonable expectation to travel there. Although long distance research could be gather to get a better grasp on how the planet my be effected in the next million or two years.
your forgetting about the travel time to get their so by the time we arrive things would be significantly different. if its in its greenhouse effect few million years from now probably be habitable if it is not partially already
