The equations do say what will happen. However, mathematics does not care about real world limitations. I stressed that those conclusions comes from pushing the mathematical model WAY past any regime in which it is likely valid. This is probably why it gives crazy results in those regimes (things happening backwards). It should be no suprise that when you push an equation past real world limitations you start to get crazy results.
and to be precise its even pushing the equation past the mathematical limit. it was theorized on paper and the limit comes from having to first divide by zero (going the speed of light), and then having the square root of a negative number (faster than light). the funny thing is that its not even that complicated and is now taught in high school ap physics classes.
im sure you know this azrad but just wanted to be clear about it...
