You keep saying you know you would have been fine had you not touched cannabis - That is impossible to know unfortunately. Cannabis is not known to cause panic disorder, but it has been proven in studies that it can trigger it if you already have the problem. Just because your first panic attack was on cannabis, does not mean cannabis caused it -  I know it seems logical to think that but there is just no scientific/medical evidence that i've seen that supports that theory. The psychoactive effects of cannabis last about 12 hours. You said u had problems for 2-3 months. Instead of dwelling on the past and trying to get back to a state of mind you used to have (impossible), just learn from your experiences and move forward in a positive direction. Nothing will change the fact that you had some bad experiences using cannabis. My advice would be to get educated on cannabis and anxiety disorders. You really shouldn't be blaming the weed because nobody forced you to smoke it. It is your responsibility to know what substances you are consuming and what effects they may have.


I keep saying that because I know myself. I will have to agree with was pre disposed by my environment to anxiety but I went through most of life without ever having a panic attack. I said my panic disorder lasted 2-3 months. Reason why I say weed triggered it is by nature I'm not a fearful person I was a touring musician for 10 years faced big stages and crowds I love cars speed and have street raced. when i was younger I had a half pipe blew out knees dislocated wrist and even broke my collar bone still ride. I was what I consider an adrenaline junkie. And i'm sorry i am blaming weed. your last statement you say that like it's a venture at your risk type of thing but every pot heads advocates pot like its some wonder drug that has no cons. in todays society there is an undeniable bias of pro marajuana. let me for good measure put a little more emphasis on my statement on high much stress i wass under during that time. Iw as under insane stresss like life or death situation i faced it turned oak but still I know weed made shit worse. furthermore I'd like to stress i'm not anti marijuana but i'm not really pro marijuana either i just hold ttrue to the fact that everything under the sun has pros and cons.

e: I've always been reluctant to allow non seasoned smokers around high quality herb. I've witnessed quite a few people freak out and there was times when I was younger hanging out with older relatives that I experienced extremely psychoactive highs.

smoking in a depressed state isn't the best idea.
The receptors that it affects, cause you to latch onto ideas and moods and dive into them to levels you never knew existed. That's why someone who's stoned will randomly stare at a wall or the floor.
They didn't zone out, their mind is simply chasing an idea it found interesting. You kinda lose concept of time when you do this, I've gone into states like that where I felt I was just looking at the ceiling for an hour, only to realize 3-4 minutes had passed.

So by going into a state like that while depressed, your mind is going to focus on and chase those depressing thoughts and feelings, it's going to accentuate your current mood and mind frame.
Smoke with friends, while doing something fun. Watching a movie, playing a game, or just hanging out chatting. These are things that give your mind pleasure, and in turn, smoking will cause you to delve into happy thoughts and feeling.


just my 2c. smoking is different for everyone though. make sure you're getting stuff that isn't mixed with stuff that's NOT weed, and make sure you're not smoking that synthetic crap. You may as well roll up rat poison and smoke that if you're using synthetic.

anxiety stems from conscious or subconscious worries so find out what you're worried about (fear of death most cases) and overcome it with rationality or/and acceptance.
