they seem to be trying to bypass the actual drug in order to figure out a way to get the desired effects without the 'high,' but for something that is only needed every 10 days, I wonder how detrimental it would be to an individual to take a dose of ketamine while they wind down for bed.
In my very UNPROFESSIONAL opinion, giving a depressed person access to an addictive hallucinogenic anesthesia does not seem like a good idea. I would suggest that is why they are trying to find a way to get those results with a more "neutered" medication.

so, to reference my experiences - i should disclose my weight. i see your point. 140lbs...but, again, they did not reference what a 'low dose' is and my experience with the drug leads me to believe that a 'low dose' would have similar effects to marijuana and not necessarily a full blown psychadelic trip or complete disassociation

But I still don't understand why would it be a bad thing to take a prescribed dose of ketamine that got you high for a couple hours every week or two in order to treat depression so long as the patient isn't taking the dose at work or before driving a car.

...so let's get down to brass tacks here . Is it the high you are chasing or a treatment for your depression ?

ketamine is used medically to treat bipolar disorder sometimes if the patient doesn't respond to anti-depressants well. It would help you sleep in the right dosage probably.
