Doubt it, otherwise wouldn't we have people coming back from future and telling us things to be aware of already"?

Maybe they don't want to mess with the space time continuum, unless of course they believe in the parallel universe theory :p

I believe time travel will be possible because at the rate technology is evolving ideas will be reality

Recorded really? Tell me where and how it is recorded please.

well information is always stored physically. for example you could write the sentence "I like ice cream" on a piece of a paper with a pencil. Once you do that, that information can never be destroyed. You can attempt to destroy it by burning the paper but you will find that photons leaving the paper carry enough information to reconstruct the message you are trying to get rid of. You can, however; garble the information enough where it is generally useless (of course).

I've read alot about the physics about time, relativity, etc. As some described it is possible and is already being done, to some extent of course.

Time actually is a concept that we humans invented, as all know already. And we follow the laws that we created about time.
Imo. the ppl who can go outside the box and realize there really is no time, then they can achieve time travel (and many other things) quite easily.
I will go further and add, some already do this, again to some extent ;)

Lovely topic ppl. The ideas/opinions/facts are such a nice read, I love it! :D

[QUOTE=James84,Feb 10 2013 03:55pm]Time actually is a concept that we humans invented, as all know already. This leaves the idea that time is somehow associated with humanity somewhat lacking.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Maybe due to the missquote, happens.

I'll try to be a tad clearer.

We humans invented the definition of time, yes?
Then we gave it laws. As in 1 full day = 24 hours = 1 full spin of Earth, and so forth.

michio kaku said it is already possible to travel to future. If it is possible to travel to the past, only under the condition it will create a new parallel universe.

could we see the past today (although not be there) if we went faster than the speed of light?

heard something like this stating if we traveled to the moon faster than the speed of light we could look back at earth through a telescope and see ourselves coming.

not really time travel per say but pretty cool

You can show with some high-school geometry that if you travel faster than the speed of light, you will see effects happen before causes, which is one of the many reasons it is considered to be impossible.
