have you ever stared at something and behind your eyes is a totally different image than what you see? and you snap out of it?

well from the few i've read above lead me to this conlusion (from my perspective) that ghosts are really in your head, in the sense in what i've said above,

and what a few others say, is something you dont even register as anything logical, so you make up what it is. But things happen on this earth (Just as ancient civilizations would assume it's some God of some sort conjuring up any natural type occurence/"disaster" for)

that we cannot explain yet (Just as ancient civilizations scapegoated "God/s" etc.) Science IMO has abolished religion (atleast Christianity) so we can now explain what used to be blamed on "God". So, we do indeed jump to the next conclusion that's "logical" because that's only what we've been taught/ "brainwashed" (a user said above) into coming up with we come up with. Just as some say it's "God's work, or Thank God" And you're sitting there thinking of the scientific way it happened. Anyways..

I think your mind whether or not you know it tries to assemble what you're seeing into the most rational thought your mind can sum up.

excuse if seems repetitive, freshly stoned

just tossin my 2ยข in the thought-bucket :)

Here's an interesting question.

What would you have seen if you had never been told about the concepts of spirits or ghosts?

A god most likely.

Everything exists here and now already, nothing comes to you, nor you have to go after anything.
Reality is only a manifestation of what you truly believe and put your attention on.
Physical reality doesnt exist, its only a mirror of yourself.
Ghosts exist to you because you believe so, and think about it, and constantly look for them and reasons, etc..
The universe is pure energy and that energy will always give you what you want, believe and expect.. for the good and for the bad.

You could even defy the law of gravity and levitate on your own, because the simple fact that you call it a law, make it look like its impossible so you dont believe it.
But if you were a VERY innocent person born in some strange place outside society parameters, you would believe in many different things than a regular person, and perhaps defy the law of gravity even unconsciously about what his doing.

then there is no reason to look both ways when crossing the street, just don't imagine any cars coming and you'll be fine!

I suggest you go to the roughest biker bar you can find, and go up to the meanest looking guy and kick him square in his rear end. Then you and him can engage in a stimulating conversation about the reality of his fists, force laws like f=ma, and your face.

Not if what he is saying is true ("Reality is only a manifestation of what you truly believe").
Which I don't think it is.

My point is that none of us actually behave according to what he states he believes. When we touch a hot stove we retract our hand if it gets burnt, instead of tying to "believe hard that it isn't hot". We look both ways when crossing the street instead of "believing hard that no cars are coming". Our bodies have learned though a lifetime of experiences that external events have real potential to do damage to us, regardless of what new age beliefs we claim to endorse.

Try to think of it this way.

For something to exist, it has to be there. When something is there, it can't not be there.

So if ghosts were to exist, they'd have to ALWAYS be there.

And I doubt that ghosts have the power to turn invisible or trick us into thinking they're not there.

Just my two cents.

Also, maybe what you saw wasn't a "mind trick" but maybe just light glimmering off something in a particular way, or something of the sort.

Hope this helps. <3

what would it look like if a three-dimensional being picked up a two-dimensional object from a two-dimensional plane?

to the two-dimensional beings witnessing the event, the two dimensional object would disappear.

but the three dimensional being would witness nothing out of the ordinary.

this is my two cents.
