It's a hoax. Special relativity states that nothing can go faster than the speed of light. In order for the camera to capture light moving in one small beam would mean that the camera must take pictures faster than the speed of light.

Pwnt.

did you even watch the video where he explained how the camera works?

That really depends,..

Imagine that you have multiple cameras, like 1 million cameras, then start recording 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds seperated from each other..

The final product would be a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 frames per second video, and im pretty sure this could get the speed of light in slow motion easily.

when i 1st saw this i just couldn't grasp how this is possible. just seems like something inherently problematic with the physics of it.

That would be a problem if this was an ordinary camera..
But it isn't. It doesn't need any parts moving faster than the speed of light to capture a trillion frames per second.

how would you even see light without it reaching the camera first, its not possible to do with a camera like you are implying even if it were that fast. What does it even mean to take pictures faster than light?

and he addressed to your problem in the video; its not a camera as you think of it but it's a composite that just demonstrates what is happening
