 I appreciate the plug. But I think one Ron Paul is more than enough. In his words, the future belongs to us.

Time travel.

There are many schools of science that proscribe the belief in continuous time, also banishing the belief we can manipulate it other than by dilation.

I doubt I could explain the whole schema it in a single post but

...try to imagine the past in relation to the present. There is nothing inherent inside or outside of the current universe keeping track of a precise history. The current present shows probable evidence of such past leading up to it, but nothing can ever show the conservation of said past with absolute certainty. Without this conservation, how could we ever precisely access a prior state of the universe? The same can be said of the future and although it is comfortable to imagine time travel when inclined, it is a backwards hope.

On the other hand, time dilation, which you can think of as the slowing down of time in a certain system, in the hope of extending the lives of astronauts is actually pretty well documented and would be paramount if long-term space missions ever happen.

I still think Eugenics is a solid solution to long-term space travel.

Oh absolutely. For example, were the only mammals that cant produce our own Vitamin C in a crises. A few monitored generations of voluntary breeding might fix that though

what would really benefit all of mankind?

if everyone would think and act ethically. But since thats impossible i cant contribute with something that will only benefit humans, as such a thing doesnt exist either.

What scientific discovery do you think mankind could benefit the most from? I'm talking something that could really change our quality of life.

It can be anything but try to narrow it to only 'one thing'.

I think it'd be a form of sustainable solar/wind/biofuel/etc energy, but I'm curious what you all think.

definitely has to be like a cure for a major disease such as cancer or aids. with these types of discoveries th quality of life could improve greatly
