It comes down to chromosomes. Different species have different chromosomes. The Sperm has to match the egg. Now this is for natural vetro to take place. Now scientist are creating introvetro hybrid races, such as the spider goats, human cows, and other species. You can google search Genetic Experiments with human and animal hybrids. I dont not agree with this, but it is happening none the less.
