LSD is among the safest drugs you can do. it would take over 100,000 hits for you to overdose..

you're prolly one of the many retards that think that LSD make your brain bleed. or you loose spinal fluid and thats why you trip..

ugh little uneducated kids erk me..

takes under 500 to reach the LD50

(still a lot, mind you)

This is true, lsd is one drug that is near impossible to o.d. on, but to call it a safe drug is mildley neglectfull!
the drug itself can not harm you physically, but Ive seen first hand how It can make you injure yourself very badly!
Ive seen people with icepicks to there head wanting to poke holes in there brain so the "lsd would leek out and they would be done with there trip".
And you hear alot of people say that "they know someone" who has lost there minds for the rest of there life and are in a constant trip....
I dont belive this to be true... it may change you, but no matter how much you take really, you will come down! Ive never seen anyone who is in a life long trip.... Urban myths I belive!

LSD is a "safe" drug to use in the sense that the drug itself will not harm your body or brain. but what the drug does to your mind is another thing altogether. first of all when on the drug you cannot think rationally, cause and effect can not be understood at all.
it can make you do alot of weird shit.

and you will get alot of different hallucingoen effects, it can be visual, or hearing, taste, smell. it can also mix them up, so you see what you taste and hear what you see. now all of those are pretty harmfull in its own, but when it tells you that you can fly it might not be so safe.
and now over to the other mental hallucinogen effects it can has, it can give you a deep sense of understanding or a profound sense of being connected to the world, or disconnected for that matter, but its all just an illusion nothing of it is real.

and it can also give you hallucinations that will make your worst nightmare seem like a childrens tale, and when you take it you dont know what you will do while you are on it, you may kill yourself beliving utterly that you dont need to breathe and just swim down deeper and deeper under water untill you pass out, or you might thing you can fly and jump off a building, or you might think that shooting yourself in the chest is a grand idea, or taking a knife to your chest just so you can watch your own heart beat. there is just no telling what you will end up doing while under its effect cause every illusion you see and feel will feel very real to you.

the only harmfull thing i have seen someone do under its effect was a guy at a party that tried to iron his cloths while he was still wearing them he just got minor burns on his arms, but on the other hand if he had locked the door to the toilet before hand instead of being found out immidiatly.

lsd is proven to be non harmful and has medical uses.

I guess it is not considered a harmful side effect to go completely insane. Even if it is a psychological side effect, it can screw some people up for life. A substance being non-harmful shouldn't be limited to purely physical side effects. I'd rather lose a limb, than lose my mind. So most people may not have long term repercussions for abusing acid (sorry for you if you have to use drugs to tap into your entire mind's eye, if that's what you're looking for), but it has been proven to destroy the lives of previously "normal" people. I know a couple of them. Not everyone knows their limits or what is good and bad for them. If they did, drugs might have never been illegal in the first place. The way I see it, there are 3 categories of drug users: those who do it and are fine (overall); those who do it and know they're not fine but do it anyway; and those who do it and have no idea how bad it is for them in particular. Free will isn't always a beautiful thing.

NEVER.. when your body flushs itself of the drug. your trip is over. its as simple as that.

pTSD is what you may be referring to. and you might see 'traccers' or patterns in your eyes every now and again for the rest of your life. a guy ive worked with told me about his acid days as a kid. with micro sugar cubes to the different blotters to liquid lsd in a vial. and he tells me he gets patterns that show up every now and than. and he hasn't done LSD in 40 years

if youre going to be in any type of situation like that. you shouldnt be dropping. as nightmares go? ive had a really bad trip on shrooms.
first time doing them. all i saw was a ball of colors for about 4 hours. i had no sense of anything. no idea where i was. what i was doing. i was just curled up in the fetal position for a long time. and every thought i had. ended with me having to kill myself. i thought about every thing while in this fetal position. a little later i called my buddy and told him that im not getting out of it. of course he was all confused. lol but after the trip wore off. i was in tears. extremely happy that it was over. told myself id never do it again. but i thought about how great of an experience it was. although it was extremely horrible. and i eventually worked up the courage to do it again. a few months later. i took a smaller dose. and it was alot better. and ive done them 3 other times after that.

a very profound experience. it changed me, for the better, in a way you cant explain. i have never done LSD. i am going to soon. i have a hit. im just saving it for a concert im going to in a couple weeks. i wish i had another hit so i could do it before i went. buuut owell.

My mistake, the LD50 is 12,000 ug not 50,000 ug which is about 100 average hits. LD50 is the lethal dose in 50% of tested animals, by the way, so there is overdose potential.

A comment on safety: My close circle of friends and I participate on occasion, and sometimes we take more than we should, but so far, we've controlled the conditions (good days, good things to do, feeling good), and we've had a sitter (if the dose calls for it), and not once have we encountered problems.

exactly.

you're not going to overdose. and if you indulge responsibly than you're not going to have a problem.
