You can't go past The Dark Side of the Moon or Sgt. Peppers when it comes to LSD in the 60's and 70's. I do agree with you though, a lot of people that use these drugs are a bunch of dumb fucks. They really are- but the drugs themselves can be beautiful things if used correctly. And the dumb fucks that use these hallucinogenic drugs come out for the better. At least they have individualism or have experienced something truly amazing. You know, the things you hear and see and smell from psychedelics really compromise our way of living. It opens up neurological-somatic circuits in our brain that are often beyond expression. Some experiences can be quite similar to the path of Buddhist enlightenment or nirvana. It really comes down to how much you want preconceptions to control your life. I would at least approach these drugs with a completely open mind before you label and ramble about them.
I'm not pretending that psychedelic drugs are all good with no side effects or anything. Of course there are bad consequences to using them but the good in this case outweighs the bad. If they were addictive and physically damaging like opiates then it would be a different story.
the problem is 9 out of 10 people who use drugs are retarded(before someone decides to argue this use your personal experience and you know its true unless you don't know 10 drug abusers). its the same argument with marijuana "it doesn't harm the user" maybe not but its harmful to society to have stupid people become more useless. there are far too many idiots on this planet and thats why drugs like that are made illegal. responsible use isn't bad but responsibility is in short supply these days.
if people weren't so retarded as a whole this would be a non-issue.
