Gravity doesn't affect light unless it gets close to a strong source of it, and even then it only bends the path of it. Unless you get near a black hole (which are hoaxes I might add).

It should be possible to reconstruct a Gaussian blur by placing mass (all finite) spaced appropriately.

have you gone through the math etc. or are you just making conclusions based purely on qualitative info..?

I really wish I was knowledgeable on this subject, because it seems to be something quite controversial and fascinating. Not too late to start, I guess.
