Lets say we have a space ship traveling at exactly the speed of light, and u decide to walk forward at 5 mph thru the ship...you would be technically breaking the light speed barrier yes?
No...mass cannot travel faster and in order to keep this constant, time itself slows down to barely a crawl to keep you under the speed of light, so yes this is the way relativity works.
Just because we see something does not mean that is occuring to that object.
