Have you ever actually read any of my posts before? If you had, you'd know just how familiar with the Bible I am. The problem with believing in the Bible on faith alone is that the other guy takes his different religious text as the unquestionable word of their god/gods too, and there's simply no good reason whatsoever to assign greater likelihood to one unprovable deity over another.
The fact that we're alive for a mere blink of an eye in comparison to the age of the universe (~13.73 billion years) is what gives our lives almost infinite value. As far as we know, our planet is unique in the universe in that it contains life. At the very least, we haven't found evidence of life anywhere else. Maybe you find no meaning or "true satisfaction" in life without a god to fill a hole in your life, but that simply doesn't hold true for everyone. What you might call "true satisfaction" is boring as hell to someone else.
So the fact that your god gives you personal experiences so that you can believe means he loves you. Meanwhile, the fact that your god has not given me any personal experiences so that I can believe, and has not bestowed upon me any amount of faith with which to believe (Ephesians 2:8) even though I sincerely asked in prayer (Matthew 7:7) for two years during my transition from Christianity to atheism means that your god must not love me.
All-loving God? Disproved. But hey, you're free to believe and waste your short and infinitely precious 80 years of life worshiping a deity that's in all likelihood not even there. Good luck with that.
That is what it is all based on - faith. Believing without seeing. Now when I started off I didn't just blindly accept and believe like you are right now. I remember when I was at your stage. Do you want to know why The Bible is still going strong even after 2000 years? The reason is not because of The Bible ALONE. Throughout the 2000 years God has helped along the way with each and every person individually that believes today. I do see and understand shunning how you should live your life based on what a mere book says that is 2000 years old, I get that.
My faith isn't just on The Bible alone. God has revealed himself to me in his own way. I asked and he gave and I believed. Now the thing is with God he tests people's faith. An unchallenged faith will not grow. It is like doing High Jump but not testing the boundaries seeing how far you would go. The Bible is littered with examples of these: Abraham, Job, Moses, Joseph, John etc. Now the Devil on the other hand TEMPTS you to do bad things. You know you want to go to those sites and feast your eyes on those images. You know you want to have that beer even though you will be driving and carrying the lives of 4 other people in your car.
It took me about 16 years from early childhood to believe up to adulthood. It doesn't matter what age you start at but after a long time God will reveal himself to you. 2 years? You are just getting started. This is that faith testing I was talking to you about. The journey is long and hard but the reward is great in the end.
