That in a nutshell, is why christianity is not cool in my book. It just doesn't seem real to me, and i don't think it ever will.

I think its a pretty standard argument that will probably get me to nowhere, but i feel i must post anyways


Imo All organized religion based around a deity is Damaging to a society.

I corrected someone on the meaning of the word Theory and got half a year of 10%, a little vaction, and my name changed. :o You're lucky.

Like I mentioned in post 18, many Christians don't like to acknowledge the correct meaning of the word Theory in the scientific sense because if they do, then if they have any remnant of rational thought they have no choice but to acknowledge that evolution happened and is continuing to happen.

Yeah, I've tried explaining the meaning of the word to many people, but most can't comprehend the difference. One sad case was a teacher at my HS. Never could take him seriously again. :(

this is absolutely true. its how i got my warn. i actually had the nerve to question somones faith and challenge them to explain it so i could understand better. instant warn from religious zealotry.

Makes perfect sense. The Christian knows whether someone is spirit filled, or an ubeliever, simply through what they say or do. The Holy Spirit living inside of the Christian enables them to have this discernment.

When someone comes to Christ, and are changed by Him, they immediately have this discernment granted by the Holy Spirit. Thats why its so easy for the Christian to tell if someone is a true Christian or not.

Which is also why unbelievers get their posts locked in the Christian fellowship subforum. The posts aren't spirit filled, and in fact are often contrary to the word of God.

We "know them by their fruits". And even if someone tries to pretend to be a Christian, its impossible to fake. The posts reveal that they're not spirit-filled/saved.

Which is also why we Christians know each other when we see each other. The Christian from China has a close family bond with a Christian from the USA or Mexico, etc...
