I will literally give you the rest of my forum gold if you find me a credable argument against marijuana, and a study showing that it causes mental illness, without having any argument put towards it at all.. I smoked pot for 5 years before quitting cold turkey "obviously not addictive", and im in perfect shape, mentally and physically.. I lift every day, run 2 miles daily, and live a very active lifestyle, again physically and socially.. And the people I hang out with arent mentally ill.. As for marijuana smoke destroying your brain, buddy standing underneath of a telephone pole will eventually destroy your brain, using too much calamine lotion will give you skin cancer, drinking tap water as an infant will kill a baby, and too much floride will poison you.
Alcohol rots your liver, rots your brain at much more of a progressive state than marijuana.. Tobacco coats your lungs in tar, among other things, and its processed in fucking cyanide and arsenic..
Now tell me, a plant that is grown 100% naturally, not given any chemical additives what so ever, and has been used for THOUSANDS of years "before cancer became an 'epidemic' is worse to inhale than tobacco, or worse to consume than alcohol.. There is no argument towards this, people who down play marijuana have;
A. Never tried it
B. Religious nut
C. Works in the wood/pharmacutical(sp) field as a chemist
D. An idiot.
E. tried it quite a few times, never really enjoyed it, experienced a catalysis into a long term anxiety disorder.

and no im not an idiot. i know you'd like to believe otherwise but ive been told quite the contrary many many times
do you know what im tired of? people believing that pot CANT be harmful, because their own personal experience, or their friends' experiences have all been good. ive experienced first hand that it can have horribly unpleasant effects.
