Foward time travel is already proven, but only by a couple of seconds or something. You'd have to go extremely fast just to go a little bit foward in time, but we haven't got the technology/energy required.
Traveling to the past is probably impossible. If it was, it'd have to be an alternate universe or something.. othwerise, wouldnt they already be here?

time was the one thing we were actually given in this life.

so who to says that we are able to control that? well, we can't. the only way we could get that is if whatever created us gave us the power. Now yeah its true that we may have already been given it and haven't realized it yet but what do most of us do when we recieved something with open arms? We abuse it to every single little possibility to understand how it works. Now obviously we arn't given the power of time travel. But it is also very obvious that time is the most powerful thing in this universe, as well.

Just like learning how to drive on a simulator before driving in a real car, we must learn in baby steps how to control everything before time and then we will be able to achieve the power of time travel. Not saying that it is actually possible, but these measures will have to be taken (to some merit) to achieve actual time travel in the end.

Now another possibility comes into play, as humans anyway, we fuck with every little detail of something until we are happy with it. So think about time traveling every-single-little-place-anywhere in time. Now imagine where we would be. I'll tell you. We would be right next to our creators. Since we already achieved everything there is to achieve in this life, we would have to move on somewhere, right?

So doesn't that sound like something you wouldn't want to fuck with?

Not yet, at least

tl;dr ver.

In a nut shell, is it possible? Yeah, maybe one day.
Is it worth it? Not yet

I have a working time machine, but it's kind of broken - it only goes forward at normal speed.

Time does not actually exist.

Time does not actually exist.

One can make a philosophical or a metaphysical argument like this, but it doesn't have any practical application. For all intents and purposes and by all measures, time exists (it's more accurate to say that spacetime exists, but for simplicity's sake I'll leave it at that).

it exists but not as a physical form, you cant alter time only perceive it differently.

It's very possible & probable, time is based on a thin line in the universe, all you have to do is slightly bend it.

You should read about the Montauk Project,I'm sure that will stir your imagination very much.

As a side note unrelated to time travel, perhaps check out HAARP in Alaska.
