how about this: the big bang didnt happen, time is infinite (in both directions) space is infinite and matter and energy are infinite as well. there are also 9 dimentions (or infinite?).

space is (currently) expanding at an increasing rate that will (theoretically) eventually exceed the speed of light when measured at far enough distance (example from one side of the universe to the other). what this means is that in the future we will not be able to see distant galaxies due to their light never making it to earth. we can only see 10% of existing galaxies right now due to the vast distance in between us and them. this means we really dont know jack shit about the current universe, other than the local groups. the stars we see through hubble are dead and gone.

If you follow evolution, the egg.

i know, man! its not a loop, there is no beginning or end. this theory is possible and widely acceptedby people smarter than all of us. and guess what else. more and more cosmologists are abandoning the big bang theory! for instance: bob berman aka skymanbob. even these geniuses with comparatively massive intellects cannot fathom all of the different possibilities.

what does the fifth dimention look like? what about the ninth? if you did know what it consisted of how can one possibly even put that into words?

With a name like Skymanbob, who could doubt his credentials?

better fucking believe it!

"Bob Berman is one of the best-known and most widely-read astronomers in the world. He is perhaps uniquely able to translate complex scientific concepts into language that is understandable to the casual observer yet meaningful to the most advanced. His dry, edgy wit engages readers of such diverse publications as Discover Magazine, Astronomy Magazine, and The Old Farmers Almanac."

wikipedia ups the bar: "he is the most widely read astronomer in the world. He has lead aurora and eclipse expeditions as far away as the Arctic and Antarctic." -damn bob u the shit.

Time does not exist. There is no ''before'' and no ''after'', there is only ''NOW''.
Time is an illusion. You may feel like yesterday and tomorrow exist but everything is just a succession of events in the present moment. Yesterday does not exist and tomorrow neither. Only now as you are reading this text, you are in the present moment. This is now. Now, imagine the universe as it is now and ask yourself what is it doing?
It is slowly moving, slowly changing and it always changes and this will never change. This is our universe. Oh by the way, as you are reading this, it still is now. So, time is an illusion. Now is always. Things are now. Things are always. Maybe big bang=truth. But the big bang is over, we are living in the now. This is the big bang. So if you feel like I still haven't answered to your questions, I shall try more.

Science: What existed before the Big Bang?
Answer: itself in a different form

Religion: What existed before God?

So here's a question.. I'm of the opinion that the universe itself is a paradox(which it is).

Science: What existed before the Big Bang? Or whatever you believe caused the universe? Inb4 nothing, nothing is still something.

Religion: What existed before God? Or whatever you believe cause the universe? Inb4hewasalways here, wrong.

So here's the paradox I believe in. Forever doesn't exist, because time has a start and an end, but at the same time, Forever DOES exist because even before the start of time, and after it, something was still there.

Anyone have an opinion on what was there before it all?

i think god made it because he is not restricted by time or space because he was obviously outside the universe. read up on multi dimensions they will shed some light on u on the subject.

Oh nice theory. God is not in the material dimension. The material dimension is IN god.

Big bang then big crunch. A cyclical universe make the most sense to me (without my limited knowledge of physics).
