What if people misenterpreted it? what if it was some kind of DNA bank holding the DNA of the animals so the boat wouldn't have to be as big? The bible says it held 2 of every plant, animal, and bird on the planet, it never says in what form or how it was done.

And for the Gilgamesh story, the bible people probably did rip it off cause they knew it was true as well( hypothetically speaking)

Most of the shit in the old testament isnt literally true, just metaphorically and is there to teach you a lesson. Dont judge the bible off of that section, its stories. The new testament is true written accounts. You dont see too much whacky shit in there
